Connect a mailbox via Microsoft 365

If your mailbox is on Microsoft 365, you connect it by signing in with Microsoft. The app stores no password – it receives a revocable access token. New emails arrive immediately.

Connecting the mailbox

1. Open Settings → Email mailbox in the app.
2. Click Connect next to Microsoft 365.
3. Sign in with the Microsoft 365 account your trading partners send EDI messages to, and approve the requested permissions.
4. You’re redirected back to the app and choose which mailbox the app reads (see below).

Personal or shared mailbox

• Personal mailbox – the mailbox of the account you signed in with.
• Shared mailbox – a shared mailbox, e.g. edi@yourshop.com, that your account has access to. Enter its address.

You can change the choice later under Edit settings on the Connected mailbox card.

Instant hook

Once connected, the app automatically sets up an instant hook (Graph subscription): Microsoft notifies the app about every new email, so it’s processed without any manual fetching. The app renews the hook regularly by itself.

If the card shows Instant hook inactive, click Set up hook again. If that doesn’t help, disconnect the mailbox and connect it again. Until then, fetch new emails with Check now.

Permission to send

The app sends outgoing reports (INVRPT, SLSRPT) from the connected mailbox. On the Pro plan it therefore also asks for permission to send e-mail when you connect (for shared mailboxes: to send as the shared mailbox and to create drafts there for large attachments).

If you connected your mailbox before switching to Pro, Settings → Email mailbox shows Reconnect to send reports. Reconnect the mailbox once and confirm the new permission. Incoming messages keep being processed in the meantime.

Disconnecting

Disconnect and confirming removes access. The app deletes the token and the Graph subscription. Messages already imported are kept. Incoming messages stop being processed until you connect a mailbox again.
